Logan & Partners Sàrl is an incorporated legal practice, registered in the Commercial Register of the Canton of Vaud (CHE-115.376.532). Other members of our legal team are Swiss avocats or are studying to be Swiss lawyers.
Logan & Partners operates as a legal consultancy in the United Kingdom and is not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA). Logan & Partners Sàrl is a non-regulated SRA firm with number 591778 but has SRA regulated solicitors working for it. Our managing partner Kelly Logan (SRA No. 199179) and Rupert Ramsay (SRA No. 527755) are qualified English solicitors and are subject to SRA regulations. Logan & Partners Law Ltd is a private limited company registered with Companies House (No. 15418419) at 20 Wenlock Road, London, N1 7GU.
A legal consultancy is an innovative model of legal practice introduced under the SRA Standards and Regulations 2019. It allows a firm to provide legal services without full SRA regulation, employing both SRA-qualified and non-SRA lawyers.
Because Logan & Partners is not SRA-regulated, it means we have a lower compliance burden and we’re able to significantly reduce our overhead costs when performing legal work. We are then able to pass on these cost savings to our clients, allowing us to provide high quality legal services to clients at highly competitive prices compared to that of traditional law firms.
It is important to note that there are a few limitations of the legal consultancy model:
- Reserved activities: We do not provide reserved legal activities: i.e. the exercise of a right of audience, conduct of litigation, conveyancing, probate, notarial activities, or administration of oaths.
- Privilege: Legal advice from a legal consultancy may not be covered by legal professional privilege in the same way as advice from a regulated solicitor. This does not affect our confidentiality obligations to you, and our engagement letter confirms that any advice or discussions we have will be kept confidential.
- Insurance: A legal consultancy is not required to have professional indemnity insurance that meets the SRA’s minimum terms and conditions.
- SRA Compensation Fund: Logan & Partners clients are not eligible to make a claim under the SRA Compensation Fund, which is available to clients of regulated firms where their money has been stolen, misappropriated, or otherwise not properly accounted for; or in certain other limited circumstances. Logan & Partners does not hold client funds in escrow in any transactional matters, and so we consider that this is not risk for our clients.
Yes, Logan & Partners Sàrl has professional liability insurance with coverage of up to CHF 10 million for the legal services it provides including for Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

We offer fixed-fee arrangements for the defined work, so you can budget accordingly. We also provide hourly rates with an estimate given upfront.
